Winter Series Results Update:

I know many of you are looking forward to the updated series results as well as the results from Springettsbury. SO ARE WE!!!

The trusty laptop on which the Club has conducted results for some years has become decidedly un-trusty.  It has crashed hard and the Club is working hard to get it to limp across the finish line of the Winter Series.  We are cautiously optimistic we will be able to recover the computer and the series data for the conclusion of the system.  Good practice also has us creating manual backup contingencies in case the laptop failure is terminal.

We know there have been bumps in the Series.  You runners have shown a lot of patience.  We will get back to you as soon as we have sharable news.

Tire Clean Up - Volunteers Needed!

York County Parks Department is looking for volunteers to help clean up large piles of tires along the Norther Extension of the Heritage Rail Trail.

Tire clean up is Saturday, November 12, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. If you are interested in helping out, it is recommended that you wear work boots, long pants, and bring a pair of gloves. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

For more information, please see our flyer.

Since 1994, the York Road Runners Club has faithfully been cleaning both sides of a 2 mile stretch of Grantley Road (between Country Club Rd., and George St.). Under the careful guidance of project initiators Jack Goodwin and Scott Madison, our commitment to keep the road clean has been met.

The job can be completed by 4 people and takes only an hour or two of your Sunday morning. If we each take a turn, we will only have to pick up once every 20 years. Please participate if you can.
